Prodigy Agency, an esports management company based in Europe, has launched the first official season of its Counter Strike: Global Offensive academy project, ‘The Prodigies’, which has been endorsed by Razer, CS.MONEY, Refrag.gg, and Scope.gg.

The objective of this endeavor is to provide assistance to up-and-coming players in the CS:GO scene.

“I’m extremely excited to announce the official launch of our very own academy: The Prodigies,” said Jér?me Coupez, Founder & CEO of Prodigy Agency.

“This is truly a ground-breaking project for the whole CS:GO ecosystem with the goal to give a once-in-a-lifetime chance for young and promising players, to have their first salary and contract, and to be seen by all the professional teams.”

Razer has been designated as the project’s primary partner and will be responsible for supplying the Prodigies with various equipment. While other brands will be providing skins, analytics, and coaching. The players will also get the support of the tutors and personnel of Prodigy Agency. The chosen players will participate in a program that will provide them with compensation, guidance, access to coaching and training facilities, and exposure in the hopes that they will be able to find a team once the program has concluded.

Speaking on the partnership, Coupez said: “We are dedicating a lot of resources to support The Prodigies with Prodigy Agency but I’m also thankful to our partners who believe in this project and share our goal to support the young players.”

Prodigy Agency mentioned that there was a lengthy testing process, following which seven players would be added to the professional teams’ academy lineups.

In addition, the junior program will provide players with the opportunity to play with and learn from experienced players like Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire.

The agency will enter into contracts with the academy prospects, and it has been said by Prodigy that they “will benefit from the same support as its star players”. Furthermore, players will not have any buyout conditions or transfer costs linked to their contracts, which indicates that they will be free to enter a professional team at any time.

Prodigy Agency is well-known for representing some of the most prominent players in esports, including Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire in CS:GO, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo in VALORANT, and Kacper “Inspired” Soma in League of Legends.

After issuing a public call for applications, more than 200 players expressed interest in applying; this number was then reduced to 50 individuals who took part in the tests. In the end, the applications were sorted through and narrowed down until there were only six people left. Sebastiaan “Acorn” Wehnes, Timothy “tvs” Sjoberg, Sébastien “SBT” Sabbadin, Mihai “fNk” Costache, Nolen “noleN” Vida, and August “Straxy” Canavan are the members of this group.

Many more players will have the opportunity to participate in the program because the project will be structured according to the calendar of the ESEA Seasons. There will be four seasons held each year, although they will also take part in other tournaments.

In order to give players the most possible exposure, Prodigy Agency has announced that all of their ESEA Season 42 matches will be live streamed.

The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) has secured a partnership with hardware and lifestyle brand Razer for the upcoming Gamers8 festival. The esports festival is scheduled to commence on July 14, 2022, in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.? ?

In a bid to maximize the partnership, Razer will display its products and sell limited-edition merchandise, as well as receive branding exposure on broadcast and hold raffles for attendees.? ?This partnership was secured on the back of a controversial occurrence that got the festival with a $15 million prize pool to suffer a little setback.

Due to the Saudi government’s stance on LGBTQ+ rights, Moist Esports have decided to boycott the Rocket League event.? ?The tournament organizer, SEF, has yet to respond to the publicly made announcement by Moist.

During the eight-week summer event, which will include several high-profile esports tournaments, Razer will sell an exclusive Gamers8 x Razer collection on-site.? ?Several Razer products, including its signature collection, will be featured throughout the competition. The Saudi Esports Federation and Razer will also hold raffles for Gamers8 attendees and social media fans to win ‘exclusive gaming gear’.?

?The Saudi Esports Federation’s Head of Communications, Marketing, and Partnerships, Omar Batterjee, said he was “delighted” to welcome Razer as a partner.?

?He said:? “Gamers8 has a mission to blur the lines between what’s physical and what’s virtual, and the triple-headed snake trademark of Razer, one of the most recognized logos in the gaming world, is a great addition to the event. We know fans will be as excited as we are with this partnership.”? ?

The Rocket League Esports subreddit moderators tend to strongly disagree. In a show of support for Moist Esports, the moderators of the subreddit said in a statement on Sunday that they would not be covering the Gamers8 Rocket League event.? ?

This seems to be a reoccurring issue, as this is not the first time that a Saudi-backed esports initiative has sparked community outrage. Following fan backlash, tournament organizer BLAST and the League of Legends competition LEC were both forced to withdraw from deals with the Kingdom’s contentious city development NEOM.? ?

Saudi Arabia has significantly increased its presence in the esports and gaming industries this year, most notably with the government-backed Savvy Gaming Group’s US$1.5 billion purchase of ESL Gaming and FACEIT.

Ninjas in Pyjamas expand partnership deal with Razer?? https://www.improbablebook.com/ninjas-in-pyjamas-expand-partnership-deal-with-razer/ https://www.improbablebook.com/ninjas-in-pyjamas-expand-partnership-deal-with-razer/#respond Thu, 23 Jun 2022 04:54:14 +0000 https://www.improbablebook.com/?p=21113 Ninjas in Pyjamas have expanded their previous partnership deal with the lifestyle brand Razer, with players now sporting Enki gaming chairs.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have expanded their previous partnership deal with the lifestyle brand Razer. ??

The multi-year peripheral deal that saw Razer equip the players of the Swedish esports organization with gaming equipment like headsets, keyboards, and mice has now been adjusted to contain more. The new deal will also see Razer equip the Ninjas in Pyjamas players with ‘Enki’ gaming chairs. The deal will cut across all NiP’s ongoing operations such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and FIFA.??

The Chief Executive Officer of Ninjas in Pyjamas, Hicham Chachine, spoke about the deal and its benefits to the franchise. He stressed the importance of having the right posture when training, competing or working for a long period of time. ??

“Ergonomics is a major part of our performance setup, allowing the NIP athletes and staff to maintain the right posture when competing, training, and working for long periods of time,” Chachine said.

??He added that expanding the partnership and integrating Razer’s gaming chair was a natural decision to aid in getting the players comfortable and increasing performance. ??

“Expanding our partnership with Razer and integrating them further into our setup was a natural decision to maximize player comfortability and performance,” he went on.??

The need for the expanded deal was birthed on the back of an 11-month strong relationship developed by both organizations. The initial deal between both brands was signed in July 2021 and since then players had promoted Razer’s peripherals and gaming desktops. ??

The peripherals and gaming desktops were described as more than well received by the players and the organization at large. The same is expected for the gaming chairs as they look to integrate them into all NiP’s team facilities.

The ??Head of Esports & Social Media EMEA at Razer, Yann Salsedo, had stated during the initial partnership about the brand’s commitment to creating more products for the community. The Razer Enki gaming chair, which was launched in October 2021, is one such product. ??

“Razer is one of the original esports sponsors, before competitive gaming was even called ‘esports’, and NiP are one of the largest and most established esports organizations, with an illustrious history of successes. Together, we can elevate esports to new heights by bringing more content and new products to the fans,”?? Salsedo said.

Razer has etched its brand into the very fabric of the esports industry with ongoing partnerships with 24 esports teams and five professional esports players. While the partnership involves players using the products, it also entails players sharing feedback on the product and also assisting during planning boot camps and training.

??Ninjas in Pyjamas have had quite a busy 18 months, having also secured partnerships with the Swedish fashion brand Stiksen and the World Wild Life Fund for Nature (WWF). The franchise’s deal with the WWF encourages gamers to always switch off their devices when not in use to save electricity. NiP’s notable active partners include Betway, Zilliqa, and GamerPay.

OTK forms groundbreaking partnership with Razer https://www.improbablebook.com/otk-forms-groundbreaking-partnership-with-razer/ https://www.improbablebook.com/otk-forms-groundbreaking-partnership-with-razer/#respond Thu, 23 Jun 2022 03:11:36 +0000 https://www.improbablebook.com/?p=21106 One True King (OTK) announced its new partnership with Razer in a video that featured Asmongold, Cyr, and several other big names.

The post OTK forms groundbreaking partnership with Razer appeared first on Esport Bet.

]]>
One True King (OTK) has made significant strides in consolidating its position as a dominant company in the arena of esports and content production. Ever since it was founded in the year 2020, the group has been successful in securing significant collaboration with well-known companies such as Mountain Dew and Gatorade.

Because of how well the OTK Games Expo turned out, one of the companies that sponsored the event has now chosen to collaborate with the organizers. OTK made the announcement of its alliance with Razer in a video that also included Asmongold, Cyr, and Nmplol.

Since it was established in October 2020, the esports and content development company has advanced significantly. Twitch players Asmongold, Esfand, Mizkif, Rich Campbell, and Tips Out established the organization.

Razer is now collaborating with the group after the first Games Expo, an independent games exhibit meant to replace some of the open spots?left by E3.

OTK posted a video with Cyr, Asmongold, Jschlatt, and Nmplol on the organization’s Twitter feed. In the footage, Cyr can be seen attempting to?flee Alcatraz, a high security facility in San Francisco that is no longer in operation. Asmongold refuses his attempt to help him escape from his prison and instead chooses to stream from a PC inside his prison.

In the end, he is able to make contact with Nmplol, who is the one who supports him in evading capture and escaping the facility. Nick ultimately produces a laptop and proceeds through the standard Hollywood hacking routine from there. The reality of the situation then comes out, which is that the clip was actually a declaration of their newly built collaboration with Razer.

Razer is a firm that specializes in electronics and manufactures a variety of devices linked to gaming. These products include gaming seats, keyboards, headsets, and more. In another of his tweets, OTK?included a link to the Gamer Days deal that was now taking place at Best Buy. The sale featured a number of gaming accessories manufactured by Razer.

Records show this is the second collaboration that the organization has revealed this month; earlier in the month, WePlay Esports was introduced as a strategic investor and partner. In the clip, Razer was welcomed into the OTK tribe?by a significant number of the organization’s members, some of whom even made an appearance in the clip.

Supporters and followers?of the group appeared to be excited about the announcement as well, as they expressed their support for Razer and complimented the production value of the video presentation.

The innovation that went into the creation of the announcement video appears to have been successful in getting fans excited about the alliance with One True King and Razer.

Rogue surpassed expectations from the previous year and returned to the top spot in the LEC for the Spring Split 2022. Rogue’s list of partners now includes gaming chair manufacturer AutoFull, Republic of Gamers, and ReKT Global. Razer is the newest member of Rogue’s roster of partners.

This is the first collaboration that Rogue has entered into for the year; however, towards the end of 2021, the organization collaborated with a number of other businesses. To be more specific, Rogue has continued its collaboration with the automobile manufacturer Kia Motors and has formed a deal with the North American mortgage lender Guaranteed Rate for its Rocket League squad.

In addition, the esports organization has just distributed its first merchandise release of the year, which is a collection called “Defy Expectations.”

When it comes to Razer, the year 2022 has proven to be one of the busiest ever for the company in the esports scene. The company has formed partnerships with many esports organizations, including KRC Genk Esports Guild Esports, Envy Gaming, Knicks Gaming, and a Female VALORANT competition that will take place in Brazil.

Flo Gutierrez, Global Esports Director at Razer, commented:
“We are very happy to welcome Rogue to Team Razer, Rogue has showcased incredible results in the LEC for some time and they will find themselves in good company with other elite Esports teams from around the world under the Razer banner. We are looking forward to even more epic plays and wins from them as they head into the Summer Split with the backing of Razer as their hardware partner.

Jon Urwin, Vice President of Commercial Partnerships at ReKTGlobal, stated that the alliance will help both companies achieve great objectives and soar to higher levels.

“Together with a strong partner like Razer, Rogue is training hard for the upcoming Summer Split. We invite the world to watch as this team reaches even further and finally wins the LEC trophy, travels to the World Championship in North America, and represents Europe as the first seed team.”

Rogue also maintains competitive lineups in Rocket League and Rainbow Six Siege in addition to League of Legends.

Another day, another huge milestone for eSports.

Razer, a Singaporean global gaming hardware manufacturer established in 2005, is working its way into the eSports world after announcing its partnership with the Southeast Asia Games 2019 tournament last week.

The Southeast Asia Games will see 11 nations, including Vietnam, East Timor, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia and Brunei, compete in over 60 sports and athletic pursuits.

eSports will feature in the Southeast Asia Games for the first time in 2019. The games are a biennial regional multi-sport event which will be hosted by the Philippines from 30 November to 11 December 2019.

Philippine Olympic Committee chairman, Alan Peter Cayetano, said the inclusion of esports as a medal event is an important step in the sport’s evolution on the global stage.

“The Philippines is the first host country to stage an esports tournament as a medal event. This lends credence to professional gaming as a true world-class sporting contest, as it engages a new generation of gaming fans,” Cayetano said

“Razer is a pioneer and a prime mover in esports, and we cannot ask for a better partner in this historic journey.”

As the official eSports partner of the games, Razer will work between video game publishers and organisers, developing the best way to feature eSports tournaments. The final line-up of games will be announced in coming months, but we’re expecting all of the top games, like League of Legends, Dota 2, PUBG and Overwatch to feature prominently.

Razer’s founder and current CEO, Min-Liang Tan, has publicly lobbied the introduction of eSports at the SEA Games 2019. His company’s support of the sport’s introduction will have played a big part in its support.
