Cloud9’s Counter-Strike 2 roster has undergone significant changes with the benching of Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy and Abay “HObbit” Khassenov, who are now available for transfer.

Alongside this, the organization has parted ways with assistant coach Ivan “F_1N” Kochugov.

The decision leaves Cloud9 with only two active members: Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov and Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov.

Despite the departures, CEO Jack Etienne confirmed via Twitter that Cloud9 is committed to rebuilding the team around Boombl4 and Ax1Le.

This restructuring follows a turbulent period for Cloud9, which started with the departure of Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov to Team Spirit earlier in the year.

The team struggled with an unorthodox no-AWPer approach, culminating in disappointing results such as a first-round playoff exit at the hands of Team Vitality at the Copenhagen Major and poor showings at IEM Katowice and IEM Chengdu.

HObbit joined Cloud9 in April 2022 and achieved success with the team, including winning IEM Dallas and reaching a peak ranking of number three in the world.

Perfecto, signed in July 2023 alongside Denis “electroNic” Sharipov from Natus Vincere, maintained a solid performance despite the team’s struggles, often having to take up the AWP role on certain maps.

Cloud9 now faces a rebuilding phase ahead of their next tournament at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade, where they will compete alongside Spirit and MOUZ.

The organization is open to transfer offers for Perfecto and HObbit, signaling a shift in their roster strategy.

Etienne’s reassurance on the organization’s subreddit emphasizes their commitment to the CS2 roster’s future, focusing on the core duo of Boombl4 and Ax1Le alongside coach Konstantin “groove” Pikiner.

The mutual decision aspect of Perfecto and HObbit’s benching, though not included in the initial English announcement, was clarified in a Telegram post in Russian.

The recent departure of electroNic to Virtus.pro marked the beginning of these changes, with Cloud9 opting for a fresh start after the super team failed to live up to expectations.

Despite initial promise, various roster adjustments and unexpected departures hindered their potential, leading to the current rebuilding phase.

1WIN have signed former Natus Vincere in-game leader Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, along with Aleksei “?NickelBack?” Trofimov, to round off their Counter-Strike roster.

NickelBack has played with the Russian esports organization since the start of the year. 1WIN also replaced Egor “?flamie?” Vasilyev with former Entropiq in-game leader Igor “?Forester?” Bezotecheskiy earlier this month, while Aleksandr “?glowiing?” Matsievich left the team earlier this week following a “mutual agreement”.

The move to 1WIN marks Boombl4’s return to competitive gaming after almost nine months away from the activity. In May last year, the Russian player was taken off Natus Vincere’s active roster for reasons the organization said were “high reputational risks for the club”, referring to a drawn-out divorce with his now ex-wife, Lika “LiQueen” Mikhailova.

Boombl4’s stint in NAVI saw the Ukrainian squad win several international competitions, including the $1 million Intel Grand Slam Season 3 and the PGL Major Stockholm in 2021.

While the Russian player performed admirably on NAVI’s lineup, he will not reclaim his in-game leader position on 1WIN. The position will be reserved for NickelBack, who played two series with 1WIN in January.

1WIN also signed a new coach, Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov, who will reunite with his ex-Entropiq players Forester and NickelBack. The new additions join Aleksandr “?TRAVIS?” Timkiv and star AWPer Denis “?deko?” Zhukov — the only two players remaining from last year’s lineup.

1WIN’s next challenge is the BLAST.tv Paris Major’s European RMR closed qualifier, which is scheduled to run from February 16-19.

Russian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov’s ties with Natus Vincere have come to an end following the player’s contract, which will expire this month.

The CS:GO in-game leader has been moved to the inactive roster since May 20, 2022. He stated that he was in talks with G2 Esports this summer, but things never progressed past the preliminary level. Most fans speculated that the failure of the transfer to G2 Esports was a result of his existing contract with Navi Esports at the time.

Boombl4 has represented a list of CS:GO teams starting from when he debuted his pro career in 2017 with the now-disbanded Russian team Elements Pro Gaming. The player has also represented the Russian esports outfits Quantum Belletor Fire and Winstrike Team. Boombl4 down the line joined Natus Vincere in May 2019 and represented them in top esports tournaments, bringing the team countless trophies.

The CS:GO captain represented Natus Vincere at the Intel Extreme Masters XIV-World Championship, where they emerged the winners of the tournaments, trashing G2 Esports at the grand finals match that ended with 3-0 scores, then going home with a prize money of $250,00. Boombl4 and Natus Vincere had other series of back-to-back first places at the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021, the IEM Masters XIV Cologne, and ESL Pro League Season 14. 2021 PGL Major Stockholm and the 2021 BLAST Premier: World Final

At the moment, no verified news has been made about the new team Boombl4 plans to join. However, theres been speculation he is on his way to join the new BetBoom team. If this is true, the esports outfit is expected to make an official announcement before the end of January.

The Ukrainian team also recently parted ways with the 25-year-old rifler Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev, and promoted Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi from their academy team to fill up the rifler position.

The teams current players now consist of the world’s best CS:GO player, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, who has a three-year contract with the team; in-game leader Denis “electroNic” Sharipov, who has been with the team since 2017; Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy; AWper player Valerii “b1t” Vakhovskyi, npl; and their 36-year-old coach, Andrii “B1ad3” Horodenskyi.

Navis Vincere, on the other hand, is yet to reveal which player will replace the teams captain on the roster. However, it is likely that the team is already in talks with a new player, and an official announcement of the addition will be sent out in the coming weeks.

The Russian professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov will be joining Russian esports outfit BetBoom, according to multiple reports.

The 24-year-old in-game leader started his pro-CS:GO career in 2017, and ever since then, the Russian national has only soared in his quest to become a neck-breaking player in the region. Boombl4 has played for teams such as Elements Pro Gaming, Winstrike Team, Quantum Bellator Fire, and more recently Natus Vincere. Boombl4 has been Natus Vincere since May 2019; hence, he represented the organization for a period of three years.

Natus Vincere moved the CS:GO player to the bench on May 28th of this year. However, this was not due to poor performance from the player, but rather allegations made by Boombl4s now-divorced wife, Lika “LiQueen” Mikhailova, who accused him of being a drug addict, in support of the Russian invasion. Hence, the organization stated he will be inactive as a result of “high reputational risks for the club.”

At the peak of things, Boombl4 reported he was being blackmailed, and all allegations pinned on him were false. Following how these episodes of allegations took a toll on the player’s career, BetBoom is taking a chance with the former team captain.

Former Navi Vincere player Eugene “Aunkere” Karyat who sparked the rumours of Boombl4s joining BetBoom said on a stream that : “We could have a composition of Boombl4, me, deko, flamie and Jerry. I think it could be *** [very] strong composition. Deko – *** [very] strong AWP. This has been proven many times in official matches. I would play my roles. On the star player. That would be *** [excellent] because I studied everything on them. Of course, Jerry, Boombl4 and flamie would mix. But it turned out that flamie would be a supporter. We talked to Jerry about this line-up when I went to his housewarming party. He said it was a super good roaster, promising. Jerry and Boombl4 would be captain, depending on the map. It’s a new level.”

Captain of ForZe, Andrey “Jerry” Mekhryakov, released a statement backing Aunkere, in which he noted that the streamer and player was telling the truth about the CS: GO team BetBoom building a roster around Boombl4.

“The information is truthful. It didn’t happen because the roster had role issues that weren’t discussed. BetBoom Team should decide on negotiations and transfer buyouts for this lineup to assemble. But the organization opted to pick OverDrive or hooch, while we had our own coach who would work with us,” Jerry said.

“Would it be like Aunkere described on stream? Most probably, the lineup would be different. Currently, Boobml4 will play in the BetBoom Team.”

Boobml4’s last match before he went inactive was at the 2022 PGL Major Antwerp, which was held on May 22. Boobml4 and Natus Vincere made quite an impressive run by emerging in second place, although they lost to FaZe Clan in a tough match that ended in a 0-2 score. The team made an outstanding run in the previous year, packing a back-to-back first-place streak at the DreamHack Masters’ Spring, Intel Extreme Masters XVI Cologne, ESL Pro League Season 14, PGL Major Stockholm, BLAST Premier: World Final, and a couple of others.

Currently, theres been no news from the organization on these transfers; however, it is likely that BetBoom will make an official announcement about the acquisition of these players just after the holiday season.

There were rumours of Kirill Boombl4 Mikhaylov joining G2 Esports’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, but the player has sensationally said he was not signed because of his reputation.

Boombl4 has been without a squad since Natus Vincere let him go in May 2022, saying “reputational risks” were the reason as they tried to distance themselves from the player and his wife Angelika LiQueen Mikhailova, who was seemingly in support of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Shortly after, Mikhaylov was accused of drug use by his now ex-wife. However, the 23-year-old has debunked this, sharing pictures of his test results.

In a recent stream, the former in-game leader gave an insight into why he has not signed to an international squad yet. He pointed out that he would not like to leave his support system, which is his family and friends in his home country.

“Playing in a European team but without friends, without family and close ones is very difficult,” he said.

“It’s not a matter of attachment to a country, but rather to close ones and social circle. And I would not want to leave it, because, without it, the emotional state will simply be you will quickly burn out and you wont be able to get this energy anywhere as with close ones and friends who support and spend time with you.”

Regarding his interaction with G2, he said that there were conditions that complicated the entire process. He also disclosed that there was a chance that he was going to be sent to either Germany, Serbia or Andorra and relocation was an issue for him.

Mikhaylov’s English level was also an area that likely hindered his joining G2, however, the Russian added that the organisation said his “reputation is not great,” which is one of the major reasons a deal did not materialise.

It is understandable to see teams distance themselves from the player. But the player divorced his wife on June 8 and has since apologized for not speaking up earlier about his ex-wife’s “inappropriate” publications.

G2’s CEO Carlos ocelote Rodrguez Santiagos has expressed shock with Boombl4’s revelation. Via a tweet, he asked that the Russian “get a grip.

NAVI have thrived since benching Boombl4. They defeated Team Vitality 2-0 in the grand final to win the 2022 BLAST Premier Spring Finals.

After a riveting five-game grand final series in the Intel Extreme Master Cologne, they lost to FaZe Clan 3-2. That loss made them lose their spot as the No.1 team in the CS: GO global rankings.

NAVI will return to action on August 19 as they commence the BLAST Premier fall groups. They are currently the second-best team to win the event, according to GG Bet, with +250 moneyline odds.

G2, on the other hand, need a spark as they have not had a great run in recent outings. The Spanish organization finished 10th in the recently concluded IEM Cologne after losing to Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-1 in Group A Lower Bracket Round 2.

Boombl4’s search for a new team continues. While it is clear that even though teams are concerned about his reputation, the player is not willing to join a team outside of his home country.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Kirill Boombl4 Mikhaylov has shared his test results to prove that he is clean from drugs. The former Natus Vincere in-game leader was accused of using drugs earlier in the month, and he opted to provide proof to show his innocence.

The Russian took to social media to share the news. He uploaded a picture of him holding the test cartridge, alongside the actual result, with a caption thanking everyone.

“All clean thx for your support everyone.”

Boombl4’s decision to undertake the test was due to allegations from his ex-wife Angelika LiQueen Mikhailova. She released a video claiming Boombl4 was addicted to mephedrone, a drug often compared to cocaine. In the video, he was allegedly snorting a white powdery substance.

The professional player chose to show proof that he was clean rather than exchange words with his ex-wife. However, he stated that he will be filling libel suits for fake information.

Via a tweet, he confirmed their divorce and said he would not stand for blackmail.

“Today I got divorced from my wife and was blackmailed with various photos/videos and also a huge amount of fake information. Soon I will be filing libel suits. Many thanks to everyone for the support and understanding at a difficult time for me.”

The couple got engaged at the live event of the 2021 PGL Stockholm Major. Boombl4 proposed immediately after NAVI were crowned champions for defeating G2 Esports in the grand finals. Barely six months later, controversy followed as LiQueen posted a photo with the Russian flag painted on her cheek.

Many saw that as a sign of support for Ukraine’s invasion by Russia. Her actions in April resulted in his dismissal from the team, with NAVI stating “reputational risks” as the reason.

“After the PGL Major Antwerp, the NAVI esports club excluded Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov from the active CS: GO roster. This decision is related to high reputational risks for the club, and it is not the result of his game.

“We thank Boombl4 for his three years with NAVI and his dedication and contribution to the victory at the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, Intel Grand Slam 3, and other major championships.”

Boombl4’s dismissal came after the Ukrainian organization lost to FaZe Clan in the PGL Antwerp Major in May. However, NAVI made it clear that his performance was not a factor in the decision.

The player released a statement apologizing for being quiet about his wife’s “inappropriate” publications.

The 23-year-old is currently inactive and is yet to join another team.

Natus Vincere have revealed a new addition to their team, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, who will join an experienced squad consisting of flamie, s1mple, Zeus and electronic.

Boombl4 is a 20-year-old professional CS:GO esports player who started his career in 2017, when he joined Elements Pro Gaming. The team disbanded barely two months after with many of its players joining Quantum Bellator Fire, who quickly became one of the best Russian teams at the time.

With Quantum Bellator Fire, Boombl4 won numerous tournaments and reached incredible heights. The most notable of those achievements came in October 2017, when QBF finished second in CIS Minor Championship – Boston 2018. That not only put the team on the map, it also put Boombl4 on the radar of some of the biggest CS:GO teams in the world. He moved to Winstrike in the summer of 2018 but failed to repeat the success he found at QBF.

Now, a player who was basically unknown before the start of 2018 will get a chance to test his skills with the world’s fourth-ranked CS: GO team, Natus Vincere.

“I am grateful to Natus Vincere and the players for this opportunity, I will give it my all every game, every tournament, no matter what,” Boombl4 said upon joining his new team.

“Theres lots of work to be done, thanks to fans for the support.

“I wont be talking big, I am used to letting my actions speak for me, not words.”

NaVi will hope this latest addition leads to a significant improvement in their results. They have won only one title this year (StarSeries i-League Season 7), to which they added several mediocre results in BLAST Pro Series in Miami (5th) and Madrid (4th) and a highly disappointing one last week, when Natus failed to qualify for the ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals after losing to North and Heroic in the group stage.

With the arrival of Boombl4, the team had to make room by sending their veteran Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev to Winstrike in exchange. Edward is one of the original members of the NaVi lineup from 2009 and was the longest-standing member of the team before this latest roster change. He has helped the team tremendously in his 10 years of his service and was considered to be one of the top 20 players in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
