Former Team Liquid player Jonathan EliGE Jablonowski officially signed to Complexity on Friday, replacing Justin “FaNg?” Coakley on the Counter-Strike lineup.

The move places EliGE in another North American squad while Team Liquid forges ahead with their decision to migrate to the European region. The team have already signed Russian rifler Robert Patsi Isyanov and Bulgarian rifler Aleks Rainwaker Petrov.

EliGE officially left Team Liquid on June 22, marking the end of the duos over eight-year relationship, the longest ever between a player and a team. He has been competing on the lineup since 2015 and was integral to multiple tier 1 tournament wins.

Shortly after leaving the organization, EliGE was reportedly in talks with Evil Geniuses to join the organization but the deal fell through. The player initially declined Complexitys offer in favor of Evil Geniuses potential signing; however, a last-minute change killed off the negotiations.

EG were also in talks with players like Aleksandr zorte Zagodyrenko and Audric JACKZ Jug and had reached verbal agreements with them. None of the deals were concluded, foiling Evil Geniuses plan to form an ambitious new European majority roster.

EliGEs move to Complexity will see the player reunite with former Team Liquid teammate, Michael “?Grim?” Wince. The player is already a key performer on Complexity after he was signed in January this year.

Other players on Complexity include Johnny “?JT?” Theodosiou, H?kon “?hallzerk?” Fj?rli, and Ricky “?floppy?” Kemery.

Complexity announced a day earlier that FaNg who has been with them for just over a year had been moved to the inactive roster.

As of today, Justin “@FaNgJC” Coakley has been placed on our inactive roster while we look to find him a new home. We’d like to thank Justin for his commitment and look forward to his future in CS, the tweet read.

FaNg started playing with Complexity early last year, joining the organization when they signed the Extra Salt roster. With him on the lineup, Complexity were able to reach the semi-finals of the Electronic Sports League Challenger in February 2022 and participated in the Majors in Antwerp and Paris.

Prior to the decision to part ways with FaNg, Complexity faced an underwhelming few months, winning only around a third of their matches against top-50 opposition. FaNg averaged a 0.95 rating during this period.

The CS:GO team expects to see some improvement with the signing of EliGE who is an Intel Grand Slam and six-time Big Event winner. The squad will likely find more success participating in American qualifiers and RMR events with Liquids decision to move to the European region.

EliGE will make his debut with Complexity at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023. The event will kick off in Copenhagen, Denmark, from July 13 to 23 in a studio format.

GameSquare-owned esports organization Complexity Gaming announced on Thursday that it would organize an all-women Valorant Invitational tournament, dubbed the Complexity Gaming Paradox Invitational.

The tournament will be powered by Lenovo Legion and feature eight squads made up of female and non-binary players from the Americas competing in a double elimination bracket for the $10,000 (8,290) prize pool.

Complexity and Lenovo Legion first partnered in March 2022 in a multi-year contract. This made Lenovo the esports team’s exclusive desktop PC and laptop provider.

The Complexity Gaming Paradox Invitational will be held from March 25 to March 26 to commemorate Women’s history month. The eight squads that will participate in the two-day event include Complexity’s GX3, Leviatan, Evil Geniuses, CLG Red, KARMA, Velaris, Hamboigas and Akave Paradox.

The Invitational is the first iteration of what will be a series of Valorant esports competitions hosted by Complexity to celebrate women and non-binary gamers. There was no further information released concerning future events.

The Invitational is one of several moves Complexity has made to increase inclusivity and diversity in gaming and to empower future gamers. The organization boasts an impressive roster with 50% female players and have a reputation for creating opportunities for women and other marginalized genders to participate in esports.

GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna released a statement saying, “Complexity has a longstanding record of supporting underrepresented gamers with half of their creator roster identifying as women.”

“By empowering diverse voices and providing opportunities for gamers of all backgrounds, we’re creating a more equitable and sustainable future for esports.”

Alice “Alimonstr” Lew, Complexity’a GX3 team manager, asserted that events like the Complexity Gaming Paradox Invitational would help give marginalized genders more opportunities in the esports scene.

“Competitions like these help provide more opportunities for marginalized genders for increased visibility and awareness. Our goal is to normalize our presence in this space to help eliminate toxicity. We belong, and we’re here to stay,” she said.

The Complexity Gaming Paradox Invitational is not Complexity’s first time hosting a Valorant tournament. The organization notably partnered with Nerd Street Gamers in December 2020 to organize the Complexity VALORANT Invitational.

Complexity also recently collaborated with content creator Clara ‘ClaraATwork’ Gomez to launch an Apex Legends Invitational event.

Heroic have put an end to Complexitys win streak in the Counter-Strike’s ESL Pro League” title=”ESL Pro LEague betting guide” >ESL Pro League Season 16 Group C.

The NA team performed remarkably well in their two previous series, where they upset Astralis and defeated HEET. However, they seemed to be no match for Heroic after the team dealt them a 2-0 sweep.

Both franchises previously faced off against each other in the last iteration of the EPL, which Heroic won and went on to repeat the feat during their most recent matchup. The Danish teams performance earned them a 2-1 score in Group C, and their next series will be against HEET and Astralis, both of which are down 1-2.

Heroics previous win was against ENCE after losing to MOUZ in their opening match. Complexity, on their part, will play against ENCE and MOUZ to secure one of the available three spots in the playoffs.

The series between the two teams started off on Inferno. Complexity were able to gain an early 5-3 start on the map after the team won the opening pistol round. They also scored a number of hits on the A bombsite despite their opponents attempt to defend themselves.

Heroic eventually got back into the match on the backs of their players, Rasmus “?sjuush?” Beck and Ren “?TeSeS?” Madsen. They took the lead for a short while, but Complexity quickly got back ahead after Justin “?FaNg?” Coakley executed some crucial opening frags and H?kon “?hallzerk?” Fj?rlis AWPing. They ended the first half of Inferno with 8-7.

Heroic seemed more at ease in the second half after they switched sides and started their impressive six-win streak with a second pistol round win. The consecutive victories placed the Danish team firmly in the lead, and Complexity were only able to win one round using some upgraded pistols.

Inferno ended with a 9-16 in Heroics favor, and all the teams players produced impressive ratings. Sjuush, in particular, reached an 85.1 ADR and a 1.32 rating.

The second map pick, Ancient, did not see Complexity fair any better. Heroic executed a second-round force buy, which gave them an early 4-1 lead.

Their opponents struggled with retaking the A bombsite, and Heroic capitalized on their moment of weakness to launch some hits on the site. Complexity were able to reach 8-7 in the second half of the map after hallzerk performed an impressive CT side, earning him a 1.26 rating.

The NA team started the second half of the map remarkably well, but were eventually unable to build up their momentum. Martin “?stavn?” Lund and the in-game leader cadiaN were able to quickly beat Complexitys 9-8 lead and earn Heroic a 16-10 victory on the map.

Stavn reached a rating of 1.95 while cadiaN averaged one frag for each round on Ancient and boosted his rating to 1.47. All Heroic players notably ended the series with a positive overall rating and K/D ratio.

Complexity Gaming has made some significant changes to their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. The North American esports organization has completed a roster swap, signing AWPer Hkon “hallzerk” Fjaerli and relegating Paytyn “junior” Johnson to a substitute role, with a possible transfer away from the franchise eminent.

In line with Dignitas’ departure from the competitive CS:GO scene after acquiring the core of the Ninjas in Pyjamas roster in 2020, hallzerk became a free agent earlier this month. He had joined Dignitas alongside the famous group consisting of f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, Xist, and friberg. Xizt and GeT_RiGhT left the organization before the end of 2020, and since then, Dignitas has found it difficult to compete on an international level, despite bringing in new talent from Norway and Sweden.

The Norwegian professional esports player holds the record for the longest known win-streak on FACEIT, with 136 consecutive games won from July 16 – October 24, 2018. The 22-year-old was also one of the best players on the Dignitas team, posting a 1.09 rating in the past 12 months.

During his time with Dignitas, hallzerk played a crucial role in the team winning the Elisa Invitational Spring 2020, BLAST Nordic Masters: Spring 2021, and BLAST Nordic Masters: Fall 2021. He also helped the team attain a top three spot at Eden Arena: Malta Vibes – Week 6, Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 1 and Funspark ULTI 2021: European Playoffs #2.

Hallzerk took to Twitter to react to the signing: “Extremely excited and proud to announce that I have signed with Complexity Gaming. I can’t wait to start this journey and meet everyone in the organization. I’m packing my suitcase and leaving for the USA,” he wrote.

His signing was facilitated by the esports management and marketing agency, ULTI Agency. The agency manages a long list of professional esports players and franchises like Party Astronauts and Team 43tri, cutting across all esports titles.

Following a six-month stint with FURIA in the first half of 2021 and now another with Complexity in 2022. Junior has been moved from the active roster to the inactive roster for the second year in a row, roughly six to seven months after signing with the North American roster at the start of the year.

Complexity has yet to make public their reason for these changes, but they have said that they are committed to helping junior find a new home in the competitive CS:GO scene.

After parting ways with their European roster at the end of 2021, Complexity re-entered the North American scene at the start of this year. Their Danish players went on to play for Astralis and NiP. Complexity signed JT, FaNg, and floppy from Extra Salt, as well as Grim from Team Liquid and junior from the FURIA bench.

The team has not had any success on the international stage, finishing at the bottom in the ESL Pro League, the IEM Dallas and Cologne, and the PGL Antwerp Major, only defeating Mongolian IHC in the Challengers stage. Junior has been a common target of criticism by fans, as the player holds a 0.98 rating over his 75 maps played in his time representing Complexity.

The new Complexity Gaming roster includes:

– Johnny “?JT?” Theodosiou
– Justin “?FaNg?” Coakley
– Ricky “?floppy?” Kemery
– Michael “?Grim?” Wince
– H?kon “?hallzerk?” Fj?rli
– Tiaan “?T.c?” Coertzen (coach)

Hallzerk will make his debut for Complexity Gaming at the BLAST Fall Groups with the franchise being a BLAST partner team and ESL Pro League Season 16, which are scheduled to hold in the upcoming month.

Last week, the North American esports organization, Complexity, made the announcement that it was boosting its catalogue of partnered content creators by including?Jordan Fisher.

Jordan William Fisher is?a 28-year-old American singer, actor,?dancer, and?gamer. In 2012, he had recurring roles in many television series, such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager. He was also featured in the Netflix movie, To All the Boys: P.S. I still love you and work?it.

Jordan Fisher released a video on Twitter in which he narrated life experiences. The clip lasted for two minutes and ended with the assertion that Complexity’s team is “a home of heroes” and is comprised of individuals who have similar values and perspectives as him.

“My goal is to change the game,” he wrote. “Straight up. Change how we view esports as a whole. Film. TV. Docs. Crazier events. Fashion. Music. Time to put some respect on its name. Lets make this shit a MOVIE.”

Fisher, in partnership with the organization,?will?organize and take part in a variety of esports and gaming events that fall under the Complexity domain.

These events will also include the participation of other content creators. According to a press statement, the addition of Fisher brings the total number of the organization’s followers on social media to more than one hundred million.

In a release, Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare Esports, spoke of Fisher’s joining Complexity: “With his unparalleled talent and innovative approach to content creation, the addition of Fisher strengthens Complexitys portfolio of distinguished talent and broadens the organizations appeal to new audiences.”

“Our partnership with him will ensure Complexity and GameSquare remain at the cutting edge as traditional entertainment and gaming continue to converge.”

Fisher collaborated with the organization for the first time through Fourth Frame Studios, which is a content studio for the organization. His role as Creative Advisor for Unique IP Development allows him to contribute his considerable talents to the creation of quality content for streaming sites.

Fisher is not the first renowned individual to become a part-owner of the organization; in fact, there have been several others before him. Timothy “TimTheTatman” Betar, a content creator, became a brand partner and part-owner of Complexity in September 2021. While Cloakzy became a?member of the team and a part-owner of the organization in March this year.

The organization currently?features professional teams in games such as Fortnite, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Apex Legends, Rocket League, VALORANT, FIFA,?Hearthstone, and Halo among many others.

Complexity Gaming has made tremendous improvements across all of its divisions and operations over the course of the past year. Among these measures is the appointment of Olly Emery and Christina Grushkin to the roles of Head of Marketing and Head of Sales, respectively. In addition to that, the company introduced a gaming subsidiary called Complexity Stars, which is geared toward professional celebrities and sports figures.

IEM New York: North America

Evil Geniuses are the natural favorites at Counter-Strike betting sites for their day three IEM New York match against the New England Whalers. They recently placed third in the ESL Pro League behind FURIA and 100 Thieves. In this campaign, theyll face FURIA again in the group stage on day four.

The Whalers are going to be in for a challenging game against the top seed in this best-of-three match, and the odds at North American sportsbooks reflect that. Theyve had an excellent run, defeating four of their five most recent foes. However, the Whalers squad isnt at the same level as Evil Geniuses.

VALORANT Mildom Masters Quarter-Final

Sengoku Gaming and REJECT are preparing for their quarter-final match in the Japanese Mildom Masters tournament today. Whoever wins will progress to the semi-finals against FAV Gaming later in the day.

These sides are well-matched and have played against each other on two occasions, taking one victory apiece. However, Sengoku are the favorites across VALORANT betting sites after their 13-10 success against REJECT in round six. It was so close that if REJECT can push forward and assert dominance early, the game could turn in their favor.

League of Legends: Intel Arabian Cup

Tunisias Divine Vendetta will compete against the Fatigue Team of Iraq in their opening match of week two in the Intel Arabian Cup. The competition is tight, with some strong League of Legends rosters fighting for the title.

Fortunately for Divine Vendetta, theyve had a better start to the campaign than their opponents, winning two of their four games in week one. After defeats at the hands of Fox Gaming, Anubis Gaming, and Summon Aery, African betting sites have the odds stacked against Fatigue in this one. They need a miracle to overturn their current 3-1 deficit.

Fox and Anubis are two of the strongest squads in the tournament, so we may see a better run from Fatigue this week against lesser opposition. Anubis of Egypt are also playing tomorrow and will face Galaxy Racer Esports of the UAE. Both are amongst the favorites to win the Intel Arabian Cup, so itll be an exciting game to watch.

Europe esports news

Complexity Continue with NaToSaphiX

Niels-Christian “?NaToSaphiX?” Sillassen is continuing his stand-in role at Complexity Gaming for the European regions IEM New York campaign. He took over from Owen “?oBo?” Schlatter when the youngster decided to step away from gaming for personal reasons.

NaTo showed promise when he joined Complexity at short notice in the ESL Pro League, and he could be looking at a permanent position depending on the outcome of the IEM event. The team took a massive hit with oBo leaving. However, theyve had some time to adjust and practice with NaTo now, so we should see consistency return to the roster. Bookmakers’ odds are changing as a result, so keep an eye out.

Complexity face Team Vitality next, with CS:GO betting sites still listing them as the underdogs. Its worth noting that the odds are equalizing across bookmakers after their 2-0 victory over G2 Esports.

South America esports news

FURIA Maintain Winning Streak at IEM New York

FURIA made a strong start at the IEM New York tournament, defeating Rebirth 2-0 in their opening game. If they can keep delivering, theyre in line to take the NA title and head to the IEM Global Challenge. FURIAs next opponent is Triumph, who they’ve dominated in their three previous meetings.

FURIA are competing without their coach for this tournament after he received a ban for using a bug in previous competitions. Nicholas “guerri” Nogueiras punishment lasts for four months, but the team can still perform without his guidance. Theyve been playing together for a long time, and the odds at South American sportsbooks show that they have a good chance.

Evil Geniuses and Complexity Gaming emerged as the champions of the BLAST Premier Spring Finals CS:GO tournament on Sunday, which earned them a direct invite to the US $1.5 million BLAST Premier Global Final 2020.

The BLAST Premier Spring initially began as a LAN tournament, but it transitioned to online play due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside the change of format, the event was also split into two regions – Europe and North America – in a bid to avoid any connectivity issues what would occur when teams from different regions faced off.

Evil Geniuses earned their spot in the finals tournament through the BLAST Premier American Showdown, where they topped a group containing Triumph, Cloud9 and 100 Thieves. Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and his crew lost to MiBR 1-2 in the decider, yet they managed to finish third thanks to a phenomenal 2-0 win against Gen.G in the play-in match.

That result earned Evil Geniuses a spot at the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 American Finals, where they met with Team Liquid, FURIA Esports and MiBR. EG defeated Liquid in the opening match of the competition with a 2-1 reverse sweep but were again outmatched by MiBR, who reversed EG with a 19-16 overtime win on Dust II.

However, stanislaw and his men kept at it and edged past FURIA 2-1 in the lower bracket finals set up a rematch with MiBR in the grand finals. EG grabbed the lead with a 16-14 win on Dust II and sealed the deal 19-15 in overtime on Inferno to claim $160,000 in tournament winnings and a ticket for the BLAST Premier Global Final.

Unlike Evil Geniuses, who had to fight their way through the American Showdown, Complexity Gaming earned a direct invite to the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 European Finals after finishing as runners-up of their group in the regular season. There, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and co. claimed comfortable 2-0 wins over Astralis and Team Vitality, but they proved to be no match for the reigning IEM Katowice champions, Natus Vincere, in the grand finals.

Complexity began their run at the European Finals with a pair of 2-1 wins against OG and Natus Vincere, which earned them a date with FaZe Clan in the upper bracket finals. BlameF and co. entered the bout as underdogs but came out as the alphas, sweeping FaZe with a 16-11 win on Nuke and a 16-14 result on Dust II.

The final fixture of the BLAST Premier Spring 2020 European Finals saw Complexity take on Team Vitality for the first time since they met at ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe: Group Stage in April. The bout began with commanding 16-2 win to Vitality on Vertigo thanks to an outstanding performance from Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, who produced a 2.01 rating with 112.2 ADR and +11 K/D. But the rest of his team failed to show up, which allowed Complexity to edge out a 19-16 win and tie the series at 1-1.

The best-of-three grand finals entered Nuke, where Vitality held a 12-10 lead but could not seal the deal on T-side. Complexity won the final map 16-12 thanks to a strong showing from their in-game leader, BlameF, who carried his team with +12 K/D and a 1.68 rating. He finished the series with an average rating of 1.26, second only to ZywOo’s high mark of 1.56.

With that result, Complexity won their first high-profile tournament and their fifth CS:GO title of the year following their successful runs through the third, fourth, sixth and seventh seasons of #HomeSweetHome. Alongside the title of BLAST Premier Spring 2020 champions, Complexity also pocketed $335,000 in tournament winnings and a ticket for the Global Final.

The BLAST Premier Global Final is slated to begin on January 18, 2021 as a LAN tournament. Joining Complexity, Vitality and Evil Geniuses will be the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 and ESL One Rio 2020 champions, as well as the top three teams from BLAST Premier Circuit 2020.

Complexity Gaming have rebuilt their CS:GO esports roster by adding Valentin poizon Vasilev and Kristian k0nfig Wienecke to the team.

Complexity currently sit 43rd in HLTV global rankings and have been on a steady decline since September 2018, when the North American organization reached an all-time high mark of 11th place.

While respected in their region, Complexity’s CS:GO roster remains without a single Major title. Their best Major result so far came at DreamHack Winter 2013, where they finished third.

Since then, they have failed to progress past the quarter-finals in any CS:GO Major. Their most recent effort at StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 ended in a group stage elimination.

Those underwhelming results infuriated Jason Lake, the founder and CEO of Complexity, who in late August publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with his teams result and urged Tier 1 players to join his project to build a juggernaut team.

Last month, the team announced the departure of Hunter “SicK” Mims and Rory “dephh” Jackson in the space of a few weeks, leaving only three players in the active lineup.

Those exits were soon followed by rumors that k0nfig could quit OpTic Gaming to join Complexity, and that speculation came to fruition on Wednesday, November 6 when Complexity unveiled their new five-man roster.

The European duo will join Owen oBo Schlatter, William RUSH Wierzba and Benjamin blameF Bremer on Complexity’s venture to become one of the top 10 teams in the professional CS:GO scene.

Poizon previously played under BPro Gaming and most recently under Windigo Gaming, where he impressed by holding down a 1.20 rating average as an AWP-er.

His best career result so far was a first-place finish at World Electronic Sports Games 2018, where he helped Windigo defeat AGO Esports (2-1) to claim the title and US $500,000 in prize money.

K0nfig is a well-established name in the professional CS:GO scene and was recognised as the 14th-best player of 2017.

He formerly played for Dignitas, North and most recently OpTic. While he is yet to win a Counter-Strike Major, k0nfig has finished top three in 13 out of 39 LAN tournaments.

Unfortunately, the changes will prevent Complexity from competing in round two of ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas, due to tournament roster rules.

Mr. Lake confirmed the organization was aware of the rules and expected this outcome, which will give the new-look team additional time to prepare for the challenges ahead.

After eliminating Beastcoast in the first round of the lower bracket at the 2019 MDL Disneyland Paris Major, Complexity Gaming (COL) will take on PSG.LGD in another elimination match.

This is a best-of-three series where the winner secures at least top eight in this tournament while the loser goes home with USD $15,000 and only 150 Dota Pro Circuit points.

COL played seven games in the group stage, losing against both Evil Geniuses and OG while winning against Fnatic with a 2-1 score in the losers match.

They picked Sand King for five games and utilised his flexibility between position three and the support role, which resulted in only one win and four losses.

PSG.LGD must be aware of this and think of a plan to counter this pick because COL may have an advantage if they first pick Sand King in their upcoming draft.

The Chinese giants lost against Vici Gamings Sand King once in the group stage, so there is a high chance COL might attempt to replicate that draft.

PSG.LGD have used a number of core heroes in this tournament, including Morphing, Storm Spirit, Leshrac, Naga Siren, Ursa as well as other tier-two heroes.

They definitely have better knowledge of the hero pool, which should help them in the draft.

PSG.LGD vs Complexity betting prediction

We give PSG.LGD a 70 per cent chance of winning this match-up with a 2-0 scoreline.

A win in this tie will earn them a ticket into The International 9 in Shanghai, so there is plenty to play for.
