The Counter-Strike action continues at YaLLa Compass 2024 Summer on Tuesday, August 13, as SINNERS Esports clash with Illuminar Gaming and Team Sampi aim to upset 9INE. Here, you can find our free esports betting picks for the two series, with CS2 odds courtesy of top bookmakers in United States.

SINNERS ESPORTS vs ILLUMINAR GAMING CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Best Odds: SINNERS -181.82 at BetOnline | Illuminar +135 at BetOnline
When: August 13, 2024 | 12:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/compass_cs2)

Following a shock reverse-sweep loss against PARIVISION, SINNERS Esports will look to bounce back when they face a new-look Illuminar Gaming outfit that acquired Adrian “kadziu” Lis and Kuba “Marko?” Markowski from Turów Zgorzelec Esport last month.

The new signings featured at United21 Season 18, where they placed fifth-sixth after a 0-2 loss to TSM. It marked Illuminar’s fifth defeat over a six-game stretch, which includes a 1-2 slip-up against EYEBALLERS in the previous round of YaLLa Compass Summer 2024.

On paper, SINNERS look stronger in terms of individual quality; however, they have a worse map-win rate on Dust II, Nuke, Vertiugo, and Anubis, while they are better on Mirage, Inferno, and Ancient. Expect this series to be decided on the third map.

TEAM SAMPI vs 9INE CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: August 13, 2024 | 15:00 CEST

Team Sampi are 2-3 since the turn of the month, with victories against Alliance and DASH. 9INE have managed just three wins in their last 10 outings, two of which came against Into the Breach.

Form-wise, Team Sampi seem to be in a better spot than 9INE, yet they are priced as underdogs with the top Counter-Strike betting sites. This mostly has to do with the fact that 9INE have shown much higher highs this season, but there is another thing to consider.

9INE have been playing stronger opposition than Team Sampi, so their respective records are a bit skewed, while the Swedish organisation won this matchup 2-0 at the end of July. 9INE are not playing as well as earlier this season, but there is a good chance they will come away with another clean sweep.

Esportbet brings you free Counter-Strike 2 betting tips for three ESL Challenger League Season 46: Europe group stage bouts on Thursday, October 19. Here are our selections for Aurora Gaming vs SINNERS Esports, 9INE vs ORKS, and Team Spirit vs Pompa Team, with betting odds courtesy of BetOnline.

AURORA GAMING vs SINNERS ESPORTS CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: Aurora -200 at BetOnline | SINNERS +150 at BetOnline
When: October 19, 2023 | 17:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS)

Aurora Gaming won against Sangal Esports (2-0) in the opening round of Group B and is expected to do well against SINNERS Esports, even though the Czech squad looked just as good in the first round when they swept Sprout. Still, Aurora already won against SINNERS (2-1) during CCT Online Finals #2, which might explain the offered CS2 betting odds.

Aurora Gaming is in solid form ahead of this match, with six wins from their last eight outings. SINNERS Esports have managed five wins over the same stretch, albeit against weaker opponents, so there is reason to believe that Aurora Gaming are the most likely victors.

Even though Aurora has shown more over the last couple of weeks, having them priced as -200 favourites for this match is a bit too short, especially considering how volatile games on CS2 can get. At the offered betting odds, over 2.5 maps at -120.48 is a far more appealing bet.

9INE vs ORKS CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: 9INE -500 at BetOnline | ORKS +333 at BetOnline
When: October 19, 2023 | 19:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS)

9INE were one of the most exciting teams just three months ago when they left a huge mark at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023 with close games against ENCE and Cloud9. However, since then, the Poles haven’t shown much.

Besides winning the RES Western European Masters: Fall 2023 in September. 9INE have struggled to produce any notable results and are 1-6 across their last seven outings. That includes a narrow 2-1 victory against IKLA in the first round of ESL Challenger League Season 46: Europe.

ORKS have not produced much recently and don’t look like a serious threat to 9INE. They’re 0-1 ahead of this match because they had to forfeit their match against 1Win due to not being able to field a complete lineup. The issue has been resolved, it seems; however, poor form combined with roster instability doesn’t make them a very exciting bet.

Even though regional derbies like this usually result in closer games, 9INE is objectively better and should win without any issues.

TEAM SPIRIT vs POMPA TEAM CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAIL

Best Odds: Spirit -1000 at BetOnline | Pompa +550 at BetOnline
When: October 19, 2023 | 19:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS)

Team Spirit picked up an easy win in the opening round of Group C against RUBIK, whom they beat 13-3 on Nuke and 13-4 on Mirage. But as impressive as that win is, RUBIK are not a good team, so it doesn’t mean much.

Their next opponents, Pompa Team, started their ESL Challenger League Season 46: Europe campaign with a 0-2 loss against SAW; however, they held on well. Despite facing a much stronger opponent, Pompa Team forced SAW to overtime on Ancient (13-16) and Vertigo (15-19) and came very close to winning both maps.

On paper, Team Spirit are much better, but Pompa Team is stronger than their recent record would suggest. They still deserve to be underdogs in this match, but not at +550. We like the underdogs with a map advantage.

Another huge week of esports kicks off on October 2, 2023, with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive taking centre stage.

The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown will take place from October 4-8, with the Americas and European regional events running concurrently.

Both tournaments will feature eight teams, and only the winners of each Showdown will qualify for the BLAST Premier Fall Final later this year.

  • BLAST Premier Fall Showdown (Americas & Europe)

The Americas Showdown will feature Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, Complexity Gaming, FURIA Esports, Imperial Esports, Forsaken, Party Astronauts and Legacy.

Most esports betting sites have Team Liquid and FURIA Esports marked as equal favourites at +200, closely followed by Complexity at +350.

Meanwhile, the European Showdown will feature BIG, G2 Esports, OG, ENCE, 9INE, Movistar Riders, Alliance and Cloud9.

BetOnline has ENCE marked as the clear favourite at +175, closely followed by G2 Esports at +200 and Cloud9 at +400.

The winners of each regional tournament will take home a US$20,000 grand prize and book their place in the Fall Final in Copenhagen in November.

ESB’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting tips for Thursday, August 17, focus on a pair of games at Gamers8 2023. Here are our selections for 9INE vs G2 Esports and FaZe Clan vs Virtus.pro, with odds courtesy of the best esports bookmakers for gamblers in United States.

    9INE vs G2 ESPORTS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

    Best Odds: 9INE +275 at BetOnline | G2 -400 at BetOnline
    When: August 17, 2023 | 14:00 AST
    Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/gamers8_en)

?G2 Esports won their second big trophy of the year at the start of August when they defeated ENCE in the finals of Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2023. It marked a significant win for G2 Esports, who re-emerged as a top contender in big events, but given their lack of success since February, it might’ve also been a complete fluke.

9INE also competed in Cologne and looked good in the play-ins, where the Polish CS:GO squad defeated OG (19-17) and Team Liquid (2-1). Unfortunately, their group stage run was cut short with two back-to-back defeats against ENCE (1-2) and Cloud9 (2-1).

Seeing G2 Esports priced as favourites for this match isn’t surprising, but at -400, they might be a bit overrated. In the latter stages of IEM Cologne 2023, G2 looked incredible, but before that, they produced several shaky performances, so it’s fair to question whether they have found the stability needed to stay at the top level.

9INE are weaker than G2, but at -121.95 with CS:GO betting sites, they’re a good bet to win at least one map.

FAZE CLAN vs VIRTUS.PRO CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

FaZe Clan have had their ups and downs this season, and they’re currently in a bit of a downward trend. After a solid run through BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2023, FaZe fell apart at IEM Cologne 2023, where they placed 9th-12th following two losses against G2 Esports (0-2) and Natus Vincere (0-2).

And even during BLAST Premier, FaZe didn’t look particularly good, so their failed attempt to win the IEM Cologne trophy was hardly a shock.

Virtus.pro rebuilt their roster in July with the signing of Pavel “PASHANOJ” Legostaev and Nikolay “mir” Bityukov, and they’ve since attended three events – including CCT Online Finals #2, which VP won last week. However, two days later, Virtus.pro crashed out of Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023: European Open Qualifier #2 in fifth-eighth place.

Virtus.pro haven’t looked amazing, but neither have FaZe Clan. And even though FaZe field better players and will likely come out as the winners, this match can easily go the distance.

9INE snagged the final spot at the Gamers8 2023 on Wednesday after winning the second European open qualifier for the upcoming tournament.

The Counter-Strike team defeated SAW 2-1 in the finals of the European open qualifiers, rounding off the team list in the anticipated Gamers8 2023 tournament.

The $1 million Gamers8 Counter-Strike event will run August 16 to August 20 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

9INE will join teams like Vitality, Heroic, and Fnatic, who won the inaugural European Open qualifier to claim a spot. 9INE faced off against sYnck and Team Spirit on the first day of the qualifiers before advancing to day two and beating out Aurora and 1WIN to move to the grand finals against SAW.

The series started on Ancient, which 9INE won 16-10 before SAW tied 1-1 with a 16-8 victory on Vertigo. 9INE were able to secure a win on Anubis, reaching 10-5 at map half and 16-8 by the end of the map to close the series 2-1.

Besides Gamers8, 9INE are slated to participate in other tier-one LAN events like the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Play-in later this month. The Hussar Cup is also among their list of upcoming events in addition to an ESL Pro League Season 18 campaign in Group D.

Multiple high-profile CS:GO squads like Astralis and MOUZ failed to secure spots in the Gamers8 event. Astralis were beaten in the RO16, while Ninjas in Pyjamas faced an overtime defeat when facing SAW in the quarter-final stage of the qualifiers.

MOUZ, on their end, were eliminated in the third round of the Gamers8 Europe open qualifiers following a 6-16 loss to 1ADL. Bad News Eagles also failed to secure a place after losing to Sashi 10-16 in the qualifiers.

On Tuesday, 9INE revealed that they had extended the contracts of their Counter-Strike lineup ahead of the transition from CS:GO to CS2 next year.

According to a LinkedIn post, Krzysztof “?Goofy?” Górski, Kamil “?KEi?” Pietkun, Kacper “?Kylar?” Walukiewicz, Olek “?hades?” Miskiewicz and Wiktor “?mynio?” Kruk will continue with the team into 2024. Piotr “?nawrot?” Nawrocki will also carry on his role as coach.

“We are thrilled to announce the re-signing of our full Polish roster, with a clear main objective: to qualify for the first CS2 major,” the post read.

“This team made history by becoming the first all-Polish roster to qualify for a major in half a decade. With their sights set on the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024, they are primed to qualify for two consecutive majors.”

Following the departure of their previous Swedish roster, 9INE left the CS:GO scene and were inactive for nine months. The five players were signed in August 2022 after their hiatus.

9INE recorded significant success with their lineup, winning the ESL Challenger League Season 42 Europe as well as the OMEN WGR Challenge 2023. They also qualified for BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, becoming the first Polish lineup in almost five years to secure a place in a Valve-sponsored tournament.

The team also reached a peak position in the ESL world rankings, shooting up from No.59 at the start of the year to No.10 earlier this month. Unless Valve changes its qualifying regulations, 9INE look set to receive an invite to the Europe RMR for the first Counter-Strike 2 Major in Copenhagen next March.

9INE are currently competing in the ESL Challenger League Season 45 Europe. They are also set to appear in CCT Online Finals #1, which kicked off on Tuesday.

The opening days of the Legends Stage at the BLAST.tv Paris Major produced several upsets, with pre-tournament fancies G2 Esports and FaZe Clan dropping their opening two matches to set up potential tournament-ending series on Sunday.

G2 began their main event with a best-of-one series against Team Vitality on Saturday, when they were beaten in a thrilling 29-round match.

The world no.3 was then defeated by Bad News Eagles in the second round by the same 16-13 scoreline, resulting in them dropping into the 0-2 pool for an elimination fixture with FURIA.

FaZe Clan have taken the long way through the RMR, Challengers Stage and now the Legends Stage for this final CS:GO Major.

The world no.5 claimed the last spot in the Major by taking out the Last Chance Qualifier, and now the European squad will have to win three straight series to make the playoffs later this week.

After drawing Heroic as their opening opponent in the Legends Stage on Saturday, the odds were stacked against FaZe, and as the all-Danish squad destroyed them 16-7, it appeared as though the 2022 PGL Antwerp Major winners were going to bounce back against Into The Breach with a steadying win.

However, the team ranked 22 spots lower than FaZe brought their A-game and took Inferno 16-12, dropping Finn “karrigan” Andersen and his squad into an elimination clash with 9INE on Sunday.

Fortunately for G2 and FaZe supporters, both rosters produced some of their best Counter-Strike to win 2-0 over FURIA and 9INE, respectively, and eliminate those two teams from the tournament.

At the other end of the spectrum, Heroic and Team Vitality became the first two teams to qualify for the Champions Stage, after they completed their own undefeated 3-0 runs across Saturday and Sunday with wins over Team Liquid and Monte in best-of-three promotion series.

Heroic and Vitality came into the BLAST.tv Paris Major as the world’s top two CS:GO teams, and they would have to be the two clear favourites to be crowned Major champions at the end of the week.

Round four of the Legends Stage will feature another six matches on Monday, with three 1-2 pool series where the losers will be eliminated and three 2-1 pool series which will see the winners promoted to the Champions Stage.

    • 1-2 Pool BO3 (Elimination Series)

      • ENCE (-188.68) vs Ninjas in Pyjamas (+137) @ 11:30 CET
      • FaZe Clan (-333.33) vs Bad News Eagles (+240) @ 11:30 CET

Now we can put the Challengers Stage behind us, and look forward to the Legends Stage with the first eight series on Saturday being best-of-one matches between the remaining 16 teams in the main event of the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Below you will find our preview and best bets for each of the eight games on day one of the Legends Stage, with odds courtesy of the best esports betting sites.

The opening series of the Legends Stage will see the all-Polish roster of 9INE taking on North American roster of Team Liquid.

9INE were very good in their European RMR, where they won all three of the matches and defeated Team Vitality to finish on top of Europe RMR B, seeing them qualify straight into the Legends Stage of the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Team Liquid struggled in both the Americas RMR and the Challengers Stage, where they came back from an 0-2 start to finish 3-2 and become the last team to qualify for the Legends Stage.

After Team Liquid struggled in the Challengers Stage, and now they come up against the second seed in the Legends Stage, we will be taking 9INE to win this series.

This series between world no. 3 Natus Vincere and world no.35 GamerLegion appears to be one of the more lop-sided series of the opening round, with the top seed of the Legends Stage taking on the bottom and 16th seed.

Natus Vincere are coming into the BLAST.tv Paris Major as the equal-third favourite to go all the way, and they will come up against the team with the longest odds, who had to qualify through the Challengers Stage to make the main event. NaVi compete against the best CS:GO teams in the world each and every tournament, while this be GamerLegion’s second S-Tier event for the year.

We are currently getting -111.11 for Natus Vincere to win this best-of-one by six rounds or more and we think that is great odds for a match that looks very one-sided.

Fnatic were very impressive in Europe RMR A, where they won three straight matches against Vipero, 1WIN and B8 to finish second and qualify automatically for the Legends Stage as the fourth seed. Meanwhile, Ninjas in Pyjamas had to go through the Challengers Stage to make their way into the Legends Stage, but they were one of the most impressive and surprising teams at the opening stage of the Major, winning three of their four series to qualify as the 13th seed.

Although Fnatic, the world no.15, may have had an easier RMR run to qualify for the Major, you have to beat the teams that are put in front of you, much like NiP did in the Challengers Stage. The last time these teams met in a best-of-one series at the IEM Rio Major, Fnatic won 16-13, and we expect a similar tight contest here.

FURIA will hold all the hopes of Brazilian Counter-Strike fans, as they will be the only Brazilian team left in the BLAST.tv Paris Major, and they will take on Monte in their opening round series of the Legends Stage.

The all-Brazilian roster of FURIA is currently ranked as the eighth best team in the world. FURIA were dominant in their RMR, winning all four of their series to earn automatic qualification into the Legends Stage and they are coming off a fifth-sixth-place finish at IEM Rio 2023 at their last event. Monte was very good in the Challengers Stage, where they pushed FaZe Clan and defeated TheMongolz and paiN Gaming, but they don’t have the quality to beat a team like FURIA.

Most esports betting sites are offering a 2.5 round handicap for FURIA, and we are more than happy to take that, as we anticipate a rather comfortable victory for the favourites in this clash.

The fifth series of the day will feature two teams that know each other very well, with the no.1 team in the world Heroic taking on world no.5 FaZe Clan. These two met twice in the BLAST Premier Fall Final in November of last year both teams splitting the meetings, while they split both of their best-of-one series at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups in August last year.

So far this year, Heroic as finished second at IEM Katowice, fifth-eighth at ESL Pro League 17 and second at IEM Rio 2023, so they will be looking to break their streak of good performances and win their first Major as an organisation.

As for their opponents, FaZe Clan, the European roster and recently awarded Intel Grand Slam winners showed that they are here to win in the Challengers Stage of the Paris Major. Even with their loss to ENCE thrown in the mix, FaZe look to be back at their best and they are one team that you don’t want to face late in the tournament.

Four of the last five maps between these two have covered the 26.5 total maps line, so we will be backing that into salute once again in this series.

One of the more interesting series of the opening round will be the matchup between Into The Breach and Apeks, with both teams being ranked outside the top 25 in the world, but they are the sixth and 11th seed, respectively. When it gets to the pointy end of the BLAST.tv Paris Major, we don’t expect to see either of these teams there, but it if they can rattle off a couple of early wins, who knows how far they can go.

Into The Breach qualified through the Europe RMR A after they finished third. Apeks had to go through the Challengers Stage where they were one of the more impressive teams, making history in their 16-0 trashing of Grayhound, becoming the second team to ever win 16-0 at a Major.

Apeks were dominated by G2 in their first promotion series 0-2, while Into The Breach pushed Natus Vincere to double overtime in a thrilling 19-22 loss in their opening RMR series, which indicates to us that the outsiders in this match is a better bet here.

Bad News Eagles are coming off a fourth-place finish in the Europe RMR A and a second-place finish at ESL Challenger Melbourne 2023 at their most recent event, before going into the Legends Stage the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Their opponents and world no.9 ENCE appears to be back at their best, after they went through the Challengers Stage undefeated and qualified as the ninth seed.

ENCE defeated OG, Ninjas in Pyjamas and FaZe Clan in their Challengers Stage run, which was the toughest run of games of any team, in our opinion. Coming up against Bad News Eagles in their opening match of the Legends Stage will be at a similar level, so we could have a very good series on our hands here, and the gap between the two in the market is too big.

At the IEM Rio 2023 Europe Closed Qualifier these two played out back-to-back 16-12 maps, so with the total rounds sitting at 26.5 rounds, we are more than happy to back them to cover the line.

Along with the Heroic vs FaZe Clan clash earlier in the day, this match between Team Vitality and G2 Esports will be one of the better best-of-one series for the opening round of the Legends Stage.

Team Vitality is currently the world no.2 in CSGO esports and are coming off a strong performance at IEM Rio 2023 where they won six-straight series to take out the $250,000 tournament in late April. Vitality was victorious last time these teams met, at the BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR B, where they took the series 2-0 (16-13, 16-8).

G2 Esports had to settle for a Challengers Stage spot, after they struggled in the Europe RMR B, with that loss to Vitality sending knocking them out in fifth place. The former world no.1 team dropped to no.4 in the world after they finished in 9th-12th place at ESL Pro League 17. G2 are the current esports betting sites favourite, so no matter the result in this match, we expect them to go a long way and challenge for the Major title.

With both teams playing a high level and wanting to make a strong statement in their opening series, we will be taking the overs in the total maps market.

Over the last two weeks, NiP have won four of their last nine series, with two of those losses coming in best-of-one series. While Imperial have won four of their last six series, including first place at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Americas, they recently failed to qualify for the Paris Major. The second series will pit world no.27 TheMongolz against world no.4 Natus Vincere, who are expected to win with relative ease as overwhelming favourites with CS:GO betting sites. Over the last month, the all-Mongolian roster has dominated the Asian region, qualifying for the Paris Major last weekend. While NaVi qualified for the Paris Major after a strong performance at ESL Pro League Season 17, they were knocked out in the semifinals by FaZe Clan to finish third-fourth. TheMongolz lack the firepower to compete with a powerhouse like NaVi, and we expect the world no.4 to win easily.

MOUZ’s international roster finished fifth-eighth at ESL Pro League 17 in late March, qualifying for the Paris Major Challengers Stage last week.
