Although the LCK Summer split has not reached the halfway point, the league has announced the venue for the grand finals.
In a statement, it was revealed the League of Legends Korea grand finals will be held at the Gangneung Arena on August 28.
“The 2022 LCK Summer Finals will take place at Gangneung Ice Arena on August 28th,” it read.

The Gangneung Arena has a symbolic value to it. It is the home of the 2018 Olympic Games and has a capacity of 12,000. However, it is unclear if tickets for the 12,000 seats will be on sale due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the last three years, this will be the second LCK event to include a live audience. The league first allowed a live audience in the spring split playoffs following global lockdowns due to COVID.
The spring split was held in KINTEX, which was the venue that hosted the first LCK championship back in 2012.
