?Los Angeles Guerrillas finished the CDL Major 1 Qualifiers with a 2-2 record, having beaten Seattle Surge (3-2) and Boston Breach (3-1) but lost against London Royal Ravens (2-3) and New York Subliners (0-3). A 2-2 record isn’t bad, but for predicting this match, we have to put a bit more weight on the Guerrillas’ defeat against the Subliners.
New York Subliners were clearly the better team in that series and looked dominant across all three maps, except for Search & Destroy (Embassy), which the Subliners won with a minimal margin (6-5). What makes that victory more impressive is that the Subliners started the qualifiers with two losses, but they looked like a completely different team in the final week.
We weren’t too high on New York ahead of the final qualifying week, but we did acknowledge that this can be a very strong team once they fix their issues. Whether that has happened is debatable, but the Subliners looked much better last week.
There’s a world where the Subliners’ 2-0 run was just a flash in the pan, but Los Angeles Guerrillas haven’t shown enough for us to trust them with our money. New York to win with at least two maps to spare is a solid bet at decent odds with BetOnline.

OPTIC TEXAS VS FLORIDA MUTINEERS CDL BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

OpTic Texas didn’t impress anyone with their run through the qualifiers, but they did enough to earn respect. By beating Florida Mutineers (3-0) and London Royal Ravens (3-2), OpTic showed that they’re more than a mid-table team, while their only actual loss (ie. not including the forfeit) came against Los Angeles Thieves (1-3), which is hardly concerning.
Florida Mutineers managed the same 2-2 record in the CDL Major 1 Qualifiers. That includes a 3-1 victory against Los Angeles Thieves and defeats against Minnesota R?KKR (1-3) and OpTic Texas, who smashed the Mutineers 3-0 in the first week.
OpTic were in complete control of that series, with 250-202 on Hardpoint (Mercado), 6-2 on Search & Destroy (Embassy), and 3-0 on Control (Hotel). The Mutineers have since shown better performances, so while OpTic look like the clear favourites, we expect a closer affair on Thursday.
Florida to win at least two maps isn’t impossible, and unless OpTic Texas show the same form they had in the first week of the qualifiers, it’s entirely achievable.
